Since April 2020 Chair of Slavic Literatures and Cultures at the University of Regensburg. 2009–2020 professor of Slavic Literatures at Ruhr-University Bochum. 2002–2009 postdoc assistant at University of Muenster. 2009 Habilitation with thesis “Literature for Imperial Subjects. The Representation of the Western Parts of the Empire in 19th Century Russian Literature”. 2002 doctoral degree with dissertation “Narrated Enlightenment. The Polish Novel around 1800”. M.A. degree 1998 (with honors) with thesis “Literature and Economics. A. Tchaianov’s ‘Journey of My Brother Aleksey to the Land of Peasant Utopia’”.
